I’m a scholar-in-residence of media studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and a journalist. The bulk of my efforts lately involve telling stories about cooperative enterprise, on and offline. With Trebor Scholz, I co-organized the first Platform Cooperativism conference and co-edited the subsequent book, Ours to Hack and to Own. My focus in the Consortium is in the area of Documentation and Mapping.
One outlet of my work has been, in collaboration with Devin Balkind of Sarapis and others, The Internet of Ownership, a set of online tools for the platform co-op ecosystem, including a directory, a library, a registry of events, and a blog. We are eager to bring more collaborators into our platform and Project Council, especially those with semi-autonomous projects that can feed into our broader goal of supporting the ecosystem.
I can be contacted in a pretty wide variety of ways.
