Mohammed Amir Anwar
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. I am currently involved in a multi-year project called Geonet, where we are studying the emergence of the information economy in Sub-Saharan Africa. My research focusses on the political economy of neoliberal globalisation, specifically in Africa and India. My current work at OII examines the developmental impacts of digital work platforms and the formal sector outsourcing in various African countries.
I am very much interested in the struggles and tension between capital and labour as capitalism expands its geographical scope around the world. I will actively contribute to this Consortium through several activities (a) research, (b) education, (c) advocacy, (d) solidarity and (e) public speaking.
My profile with my current and previous research work and contact information can be found here.
